Minutes of the planning meeting of Bursledon Parish Council
held on Wednesday, 12TH May 2010 at the Village Hall,
Long Lane, Bursledon at 7.00 p.m

Apologies had been received from Cllr Craig, Cllr House, Cllr Lippold, and Cllr Milne.

3.  MINUTES OF THE MEETING 14th April 2010
 
Cllr Allen proposed, Cllr Moneypenny seconded and Members voted unanimously to agree and sign the Minutes.
 
4.  MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES OF MEETING OF 14th April 2010
 
There were no matters arising.
 
5.  Planning applications received from Eastleigh Borough Council
 
5.1  Escape, Long Lane, Bursledon – Repositioning of fence on top of existing dwarf wall to form 1.8m high boundary & addition of gazebo.  Case Officer:  Nicola Reid.  Case Ref:  F/10/66691.
 
Cllr Moneypenny proposed TO OBJECT on the grounds that the fence was too high and needed to be returned to open plan.  Cllr Allen seconded 6 Members voted to Object with 2 Lac Members Cllr Holes and Cllr O’Sullivan Abstaining.
 
5.2  The Boat House, Lands End Road, Bursledon – Notification of intent to prune 1no. Conifer & remove 1no. limb of Oak tree.  Case officer:  Tessa Judd.  Case ref:  N/10/67038.
 
Cllr Clarke proposed DO NOT OBJECT Cllr Moneypenny seconded 8 Members voted in Favour.
 
5.3  Victoria Cottage, Lowford Hill, Bursledon – Construction of 10no. two bedroom flats and 2no. Three bedroom Houses with associated parking, storage and access off Lowford Hill following demolition of existing dwelling.  Case officer:-  Louise Cutts.  Case ref:-  F/10/66998.
 
Cllr Moneypenny proposed DO NOT OBJECT Cllr Clarke seconded 4 Members voted in Favour 2 Members voted Against with 2 LAC Members Cllr Holes and Cllr O’Sullivan Abstaining.
 
5.4  The Garden House, Salterns Lane, Bursledon – Two storey rear extension, first floor front balcony with canopy, pergola, elevational alterations & external spiral staircase.   Case officer:  Andy Grandfield.  Case ref:  C/10/67094.
 
Cllr Moneypenny proposed DO NOT OBJECT Cllr Misselbrook seconded 4 Members voted in Favour 2 Members voted Against with 2 Members Cllr Holes and Cllr O’Sullivan Abstaining.
 
5.5  The Old Rectory, School Road, Bursledon – Listed Building Consent – Construction of double garage with garden room & 2.6m high brick wall.  Case officer:  Andy Grandfield.  Case ref:  L/10/67113.
 
Cllr Moneypenny proposed TO OBJECT as it is a Listed Building.  Cllr Allen seconded 6 Members voted to Object with 2 LAC Members Cllr Holes and Cllr O’Sullivan Abstaining.
 
5.6  The Old Rectory, School Road, Bursledon – Construction of double garage with garden room & 2.6m high brick wall.  Case officer: Andy Grandfield.  Case ref:  C/10/67114.
 
Cllr Moneypenny proposed TO OBJECT on the grounds of overdevelopment not in keeping with Listed Building – Conversation policies 18.CO development and 169LB part 1 &2.  Cllr Allen seconded 6 Members voted to Object with 2 LAC Members Cllr Holes and Cllr O’Sullivan Abstaining.

6.1  South Woods, Salterns Lane, Bursledon – Notification of intent to coppice 3no. Willows.  Case officer:  Tessa Judd.  Case ref:  N/10/66879.  RAISE NO OBJECTION
 
6.2  Fairport Cottage, Lands End Road, Bursledon – Notification of intent to fell 1no. Acacia tree & 1no. Silver Birch tree.  Case officer:  Tessa Judd.  Case ref:  N/10/66878.  RAISE NO OBJECTION
